Great Wall Motors is preparing a restyling of the Tank 500 SUV familiar to Russians: the model will receive slight changes in appearance and new technologies. These include a third-generation driver assistance system called Coffee Pilot Ultra and an advanced lidar that is lighter and more efficient than the previous one. The debut is scheduled for July 25. Orders in China will begin to be accepted in August, and a full start of sales will be given before the end of the third quarter.
The appearance of the Tank 500 is an example of "new Chinese luxury design," the manufacturer notes. From the outside, of the changes, you can only notice the new filling of the radiator grille: there are now fewer horizontal lamellae and they are larger.
In addition, the SUV received a new green body paint, which is already in the range of Haval models - H9, Raptor, Big Dog and others.

In the cabin, a new ceiling screen for rear passengers is visible. You can also see that the central tunnel no longer has a large gear lever. Probably, the selector has moved behind the steering wheel, which has also been updated.
It is expected that the updated Tank 500 will continue to be sold with three versions of the power units. This is a 2.0 gasoline engine with a capacity of 252 horsepower, as well as hybrid installations Hi4-T and Hi4-Z, developing up to 864 horsepower.
The price of the current version of the SUV in China starts at 335,000 yuan (3.7 million rubles). In Russia, we recall, for the "five hundredth" Tank, they ask from 6.8 million rubles, excluding discounts and promotions.
In June on the Russian market Sales have started Tank 700 Hi-Performance for 11.6 million rubles. Such an SUV is provided with a gasoline-electric installation with the ability to recharge with a peak output of 517 horsepower.
