"Chengdu goods go to the world market. Made in Shuangliu – for the world"

On July 16, 2026, a Russian-Chinese trade and economic meeting was held at the Park Huaming Hotel in Moscow as part of the program "Chengdu goods to the world market. Made in Shuangliu – for the World", organized by the People's Government of Shuangliu District of Chengdu City with the assistance of the Shuangliu District Commerce Department. As a result of the event, agreements totaling 120 million yuan were concluded.

The event was attended by representatives of the government of the Shuangliu district, Chinese enterprises, as well as representatives of industry associations in Moscow, foreign trade organizations and Russian companies. In total, more than 50 representatives of authorities and entrepreneurs gathered at the site.

Relying on the advantages of the Shuangliu air transport hub and the developed industrial base of the district, the participants created an effective platform for cross-border cooperation. As a result of the event, agreements were reached on trade cooperation, which opened a stable channel for the entry of products produced in Shuangliu into the Russian market. The event was an important step in the implementation of Chengdu's initiative "Chengdu goods to the world market. Made in Shuangliu for the Whole World" and the development of an externally oriented economy in the Eurasian direction.

Dialogue between government and business: course towards long-term mutually beneficial cooperation and deepening trade and industrial ties

The official part of the event was opened by welcoming speeches by representatives of the Chinese and Russian sides, who confirmed their mutual interest in the further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

In his speech, Zhu Guangchun, Deputy Head of the People's Government of Shuangliu District, Chengdu City, noted that Shuangliu District invariably adheres to the principles of openness and mutually beneficial cooperation. Thanks to three key advantages: the status of an international transport and logistics hub, a strong base for modern industrial production and a mature ecosystem of cross-border trade. The district expects, together with Russian partners, to expand cooperation in such areas as the automotive industry and automotive components, industrial intermediate products, household goods and women's shoes, as well as to form a long-term and sustainable mechanism for bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Russian Federation Dmitry Sergeevich Starostin in his welcoming speech noted that the Nizhny Novgorod Region is ready to develop cooperation with the Shuangliu District in such areas as trade, investment, science and culture. He expressed hope that the current meeting will be the starting point for the formation of a long-term, stable and mutually beneficial partnership between the two sides.

Dmitry Korosov, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Asian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Russia, stressed that he expects that this meeting will eliminate existing barriers in regional trade and economic cooperation, promote the bilateral movement of goods, capital and services, as well as further deepen practical cooperation between Russia and China in the trade and economic sphere.

Demonstration of industrial potential: advantages of the Shuangliu industry and the first entry of the base for the export of used cars to the Russian market

During the thematic meeting, the key competitive advantages of Shuangliu District in the field of foreign economic activity were comprehensively presented. The exposition was built in two main areas: leading industries and promising areas of foreign trade.

Representatives of the Shuangliu Economic Development Zone spoke in detail about the investment potential of the industrial park, focusing on four key advantages: an international air transport hub, open platforms for international cooperation, scientific and innovative potential and a developed industrial base.

In turn, the Shuangliu District Office of Commerce presented products under the "Made in Shuangliu" brand, focusing on such areas as the electronics industry, biomedicine, aerospace, high-tech equipment manufacturing, advanced energy, new materials and environmentally friendly food. At the same time, the export advantages of such industries as used cars, the shoe industry and the production of household goods were demonstrated, which clearly confirmed the high level of compliance of Shuangliu's industrial potential with the needs of the Russian market.

During the event, the first presentation of the Chinese (Sichuan, Shuangliu) base for the export of used cars in Russia took place. As the only specialized government platform in Sichuan Province for one-stop service for the export of used cars, the base presented a full range of solutions for organizing cross-border deliveries. Wang Xiangyu, General Manager of Yiwei New Energy (Chengdu) Technology Co., Ltd., spoke in detail about the model of comprehensive support for international supplies at all stages of the export chain.

At the same time, during the visit, three foreign infrastructure sites were put into operation, created jointly with the Union of Asian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Russia, the Lotus Auto company and the Luban Autoservice company: a foreign integrated service station for the export of used cars, a foreign warehouse center and a foreign after-sales service center.

Built on the principle of "service + warehouse infrastructure + after-sales service". The integrated system of servicing automobile trade with Russia made it possible to fill the lack of storage capacity, service and localized support in the field of cross-border trade in used cars, as well as for the first time to form a full range of service support for the export of used cars to the Russian market for the Sichuan province.

Contracts worth 120 million yuan: the package signing of agreements was a new stage in the development of Shuangliu's cooperation with Russia

In the presence of representatives of China and Russia, a solemn ceremony of signing agreements on cross-border trade cooperation took place. Sichuan Unitech, Yiwei New Energy and Sichuan Huicheng International Trade have signed three cooperation agreements with Russian partners. The agreements reached cover key areas of cooperation, including the export of used cars and the development of supply chains for automotive components.

The signed agreements are not one-time commercial transactions, but provide for the formation of long-term and stable partnerships in the field of supplies. This indicates that the automotive foreign trade industry of Shuangliu District has officially entered the Russian market on an industrial scale. Thus, trade and economic cooperation between Shuangliu and Russia is moving from individual export deliveries to a systematic and large-scale model of cross-border trade, which has become an important stage in the development of bilateral cooperation.

Precise pairing of supply and demand: the exhibition and business negotiations laid the foundation for further cooperation

Within the framework of the event, an exhibition area of products and special platforms for individual negotiations were organized. Visitors were presented with several used car models that are in high demand in the Russian market, which attracted great attention from Russian car dealers, as well as representatives of financial and insurance organizations.

During the substantive negotiations, Russian companies operating in the field of automobile trade highly appreciated the quality of cars exported from the Shuangliu region, as well as the comprehensive service model offered by the used car export base. As a result of the negotiations, the parties reached a number of preliminary agreements on cooperation, which created a solid basis for a subsequent increase in the volume of orders and expansion of the range of joint projects.

Long-term prospects for cooperation: Shuangliu continues to expand cooperation with Russia and develop an externally oriented economy

According to representatives of the Shuangliu District Commerce Department, the trade and economic meeting held in Moscow was an important step in the implementation of the strategy to deepen cooperation with the Russian market and implement the "Rongping Products Abroad" initiative. The event made it possible to simultaneously achieve significant results in brand promotion, creation of distribution channels, conclusion of commercial agreements and formation of foreign service infrastructure, becoming a successful example of integrated interaction between industry, trade, government and business.

In the future, the Shuangliu region intends to use the results achieved as a starting point for further development of the Eurasian markets. It is planned to improve the system of support for enterprises engaged in foreign economic activity, develop an integrated infrastructure for cross-border trade and expand the network of foreign warehouse complexes and service centers.

Particular attention will be paid to increasing exports of used cars, light industry products, household goods and high-tech products of intelligent production.
